| Peter Macartney, Master Woodcarver, has been
carving wood for over 25 years. He has studied various styles, Norwegian
baroque, German and British classical ornament, with several European
Master instructors. Macartney has carved everything from doors and
mantels, mirror frames, and yacht interiors, as well as facade ornament
for many very large pipe organs.
His clientele include: The Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York City, the Brevard College Performing Arts Center in North Carolina, the Cathedral of the Assumption in Louisville Kentucky, and the private estate of grocery store magnate Jim Miner, Duluth Minnesota.

His work has been featured on the cover of the
"American Organist" magazine 6 times and to date has carved 17 pipe organs
across the country. His largest and most recent project is the pipe organ
for the Schwartz Performing arts center at Emory University Atlanta,
Georgia.
Macartney is unique in that he designs, draws, and executes the projects from start to finish himself. Peter's unique designs set him apart in the carving world. Macartney also offers carving instruction for the serious student from beginner to master.
